From Karakoy Gulluoglu comes this delicious choice of walnut baklava in a special metal gift box. Walnut baklava is typically made with 40 layers of filo pastry dough, finely chopped milk-white walnuts from the Black Sea region of Turkey, and cooked with sweet syrup in the oven.
These Turkish walnut baklavas tend not to release as much of their fats during the baking process, thus allowing them to retain more of the flavor once it is finished cooking.
Ingredients: walnuts, granulated sugar, water, wheat flour, plain oil, wheat starch, eggs, salt
Storage: We recommend storing your baklava in the refrigerator for maximum freshness and longevity. Baklava stored in the fridge can last up to 2+ months or longer in an airtight container.
How to enjoy: For the best experience, warm up your baklava in a conventional or toaster oven for 5-7 minutes at a temperature no greater than 300°F.
