Menengic coffee is made by roasting and grinding the fruits collected from the menengic tree, which grows in the mountainous regions of Turkey. Menengic Coffee, is also known as Çitlembik, Çedene, or Çıtlık in the local language.

  • Menengiç Tree: Obtained from the fruits from a type of tree which is similar to the pistachio. Menengiç coffee leaves a pleasant aftertaste in the mouth
  • Woody Spicy Taste: This coffee is a great choice for those who want to experience a more unique coffee flavor (known for a pistachio-like flavor)
  • Produced From Menengic Grains: This is a fully decaffeinated coffee; a preferred choice for those don't want caffeine in their coffee

Menengic Coffee can be made in 2 ways using milk and water. Menengic Coffee, which is generally preferred to be cooked with milk, is recommended to be cooked with skimmed or semi-skimmed milk since it has an oily structure. Depending on the number of portions you intend to make, you can get a delicious coffee by slowly mixing 1 teaspoon of Menengic Coffee per cup with a cup of milk or water on low heat in a coffee pot. If you prefer milk, you can add more than a teaspoon of menengiç coffee. The amount of menengiç coffee you will add can be adjusted according to your preference. If desired, you can add additional sugar.
