Earl Grey Tea

The Most Delicious Version of Earl Grey Tea The black tea, collected and processed from the lowlands of Ratnapura in Sri Lanka, has a curvy, medium-long leaf appearance.

The Ceylon tea leaves are blended with the naturally identical aroma of bergamot to create Beta Earl Grey tea. Its non-dark infusion color and slightly bitter taste make it the favorite choice for tea lovers who enjoy flavored tea with a blend of both boldness and smoothness. The citrus-like taste and aroma in Earl Grey come from the bergamot flavor present in its blend. When brewed, it exhibits a bright medium-dark infusion color, showcasing a balanced combination of Sri Lankan tea's characteristic boldness and slightly bitter taste.

Earl Grey tea takes its name from Earl Charles Grey, who served as the Prime Minister of England from 1830 to 1834 and is more famously known for giving his name to this tea, despite his role in abolishing slavery during his tenure.

NOTE: The white particles present in the tea are bergamot flavor.

Directions:

  1. First, pour boiling water into the teapot. This will heat the water in the lower pot.

  2. Then, add the tea to the upper part of the teapot. Usually, 5 tablespoons of tea are added for a medium-sized teapot, but you can adjust the amount according to your preference.

  3. Add cold water to the lower pot. This will provide the hot water needed for brewing the tea. You can use enough water to fill about one-third of the lower pot.

  4. Now, wait for the water to boil. When the water in the lower pot boils, the hot water will rise through steam to the upper pot and start brewing the tea.

  5. The brewing time may vary depending on your preference. Generally, a brewing time of 10-15 minutes is recommended for Turkish tea. However, you can adjust the brewing time based on the strength of tea you desire. Longer brewing time will result in a stronger flavor.

  6. When the brewing time is complete, your tea is ready! You can now pour the tea into cups and enjoy it.
